Accessing Support

What is email support?

If you are using our email support service you can expect a couple of emails a week for about six weeks. Over this time you would have access to the same counsellor.

There are four steps in establishing email support:

1.  Register for the email support service. This means supplying an email address and name/nickname, which is needed so we can respond to you. Your email address would never be disclosed to anyone outside of our service.

2.  Read and accept the terms and conditions of the service.
(Email support is not the best service for people in crisis. We recommend those in crisis contact telephone support 1800 858 858).

3.  Respond to a few questions about your situation. This will assist the counsellor to best meet your needs. The answers that you give are confidential.

4.  Write your email.
We will respond within 24 hours. In most cases we would expect this to be a few hours.
