Better understand how gambling works. And how it can affect people.
While methods of gambling may seem obvious, emerging technology has blurred the lines to expand the range of ways people gamble. Someone can experience gambling harm if they are addicted to an activity where they cannot control the urge to participate, and it’s having a negative impact on their lives.
Gambling harm is characterised nationally as "difficulties in limiting money and/or time spent on gambling which leads to adverse consequences for the gambler, their family or friends and for the community".
Understand gambling better.
