Talking to someone about your gambling can make a huge difference to your life. It may help you gain a better perspective on how it's affecting you and your loved ones and lead to you taking steps to make lasting changes.
The phone line is free, open 24 hours a day, all calls are anonymous and won't be listed on your phone bill if calling from a landline. If you don't gamble, but you are affected by gambling, you can call to find out more about gambling related problems and how to deal with them.
Centrecare’s Gambling Help W.A. is a freeservice for people affected by gambling harm, their partners and families. It offers a supportive environment to talk about the impact that gambling has on their lives as well as the opportunity to learn new ways to manage the behaviour.
Face to face help is available via Centrecare’s, nine Gambling Help WA locations across metro and regional WA: Perth, Bunbury, Cannington, Midland, Esperance, Gosnells, Joondalup, Kalgoorlie and Mirrabooka. Call to make an appointment today.
Individual and couples counselling
Regular counselling sessions are offered to individuals, their partners or family members to discuss their concerns about the gambling behaviour.
People wishing to gain skills and confidence to control gambling behaviour in a supportive group environment may access this program. The group program is run over 10 weeks and provides participants with the opportunity for personal development, insight and learning through structured exercises.
Self-exclusion, or self-banning, is a voluntary program which is available to anyone who wants to restrict or stop their access to gaming venues and online bookmakers.

As well as self-excluding with specific agencies or venues there are a range of software packages and online tools available that can help you to block gambling websites and advertisements which you browse with the web.
AdBlock Plus is a free extension for web browsers that blocks ads from appearing on webpages. AdBlock Plus disables a range of advertising while you browse the web, including banners, YouTube ads, pop-ups and social media ads.
Gambling Help WA also offers a free financial counselling service for anyone experiencing the effects of financial hardship caused by gambling harm.
Experiencing the effects of financial hardship caused by gambling harm can leave you and your family feeling powerless, stressed, depressed, anxious and isolated. You may feel that you have nowhere to turn and no one can help. By talking to a qualified financial counsellor you can work through the maze of confusion that can arise when a financial crisis looms.
